WineSmith Vertical Tasting, 6 Vintages of Faux Chablis, 4 Vintages of Crucible & 2 Cab Francs

$200.00

The WineSmith library is now down to a single case of most vintages of Faux Chablis, Crucible and two different styles of 2010 Cabernet Franc.  We want to spread these amazing wines around as widely as possible.  Since our dedicated fans are spread throughout the country, we are organizing vertical tastings in twelve cities.  In most cases, we will follow with a no-host dinner.

Tastings in Minneapolis (October 28th, 2018) and New York (November 4th, 2018) received rave reviews from astonished connoisseurs. Now that the pandemic has settled down, we are currently organizing tastings in Sebastopol, CA, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, Denver and Ohio (TBD).  Please contact us if you are interested in attending any of these locations, or to encourage us to pursue setting up in another city.  Email us at Winesmith@winemaking411.com or call Clark’s cell at 707-332-5552.

The wines we will pour, with a total retail value of $2,815, will be split among a minimum of 12 tasters for $200 per chair.

WineSmith Faux Chablis, 100% Napa Valley Chardonnay, Student Vineyard,

Vintages 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006

WineSmith Crucible, 100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Vintages 1999, 2004, 2005 and 2007

We will also compare two 2010 Cabernet Francs from Diamond Ridge Vineyards from the 2010 vintage: the WineSmith, which I made in a classic St. Emilion style, and the Two Jakes Roman Reserve, which I made in an ancient style, most notably without sulfites.  I love these wines equally, but they are very different and make for a fascinating comparison.
